Adults love Aruba for the beautiful white sand beaches, wonderful dry climate and the gourmet food. Plus, there are many water activities and local attractions to enjoy. Aaah I would love to go to Aruba soon!

Aruba is also an amazing destination for FAMILIES! The island offers unique attractions and activities that make it a fun destination for the whole family.

Kids of all ages will enjoy a visit to the butterfly farm. Visitors will enjoy seeing exotic butterflies in a tropical environment. Tours are led by knowledgeable guides.

Did you know that there is a Donkey Sanctuary on Aruba? Donkeys have existed on Aruba for 500 years, and now thanks to the non-profit organization the donkeys are protected. There is also an Ostrich Farm that the kids will want to visit!

Aruba boasts several museums where visitors can learn about their cultural heritage, including a Model Train Museum.

So what about water sports activities? You can rent a jet ski, paddleboat, waverunner, bananaboat, kayak, or tube from most hotels. In addition to scuba diving and snorkeling, Aruba is one of the most popular destinations in the world for windsurfing.

PS Here are some great tips for families traveling to Aruba!

1. Families with children 10 years-old and older can learn to scuba dive in half a day with one of the many PADI resort dive programs.

2. Organized, street bike tours are very popular along the low- and high-rise hotel areas.  For families seeking an adventurous ride, mountain bike rentals and tours though Aruba’s countryside are also offered.

3. For picky eaters, Aruba does have several fast food and fast casual dining options.  Local restaurants have kids’ menus so mom and dad can enjoy authentic island dining experiences!

4. For those traveling with young children, mom and dad can enjoy some alone time as most resorts have exceptional babysitting services for evenings out and day camps.

5. Traveling with a large family and can’t squeeze everyone into a rental car?  Aruba’s public bus system is affordable and convenient, with bus stops all along the hotel areas and downtown area.
