Travel to "The Land of Fire & Ice" is BOOMING...

Are you looking for a unique travel destination?  If you have a sense of adventure and are looking for a vacation out of the ordinary - you might be interested in discovering what makes Iceland so special!

Recently I have had several requests for travel information on Iceland - and from what I have been reading in industry reports, popularity is growing in leaps & bounds for vacations to "The Land of Fire & Ice" as it is called.

Located just below the Arctic Circle, Iceland is also known as "the land of light and darkness" with LONG summer days (24 hours of sunlight), and dark winters. It is home to the largest glaciers in Europe and some the world's most active volcanoes.

So what makes this country so appealing? To start with BREATHTAKING scenery as the landscape is so rugged and spectacular from moss-covered lava fields in the southwest to soaring fjords in the northwest. The people are warm & welcoming - and the culture is rich and vibrant. Iceland boasts an unpolluted environment, and geothermal energy. One of the highlights is to visit the many natural hot-springs such as the famous "Blue Lagoon".

When is the best time to visit Iceland? The most popular tourist season is mid-June to the end of August - but with temperatures that are cool in summer and surprisingly mild in winter - any time is a good time to travel to Iceland depending on your interests. Some of the many activities include hiking, climbing, whale watching, rafting, fishing, diving & snorkeling - and in the winter there is dog-sledding, snowmobiling, skiing and snowboarding.

There are several ways you can tour this unique destination - such as cruises, escorted land tours, or take the ultimate road trip with a self-drive tour around the Ring Road. If you would like to learn more, contact us for more information and let us help you plan a trip to Iceland!
